This is a beautifully designed villa in one of the most sought-after locations on the whole of Mallorca. It’s in the heart of Pollença and looks out over the pan-tiled roofs of the old town and the wooded hillsides all around.
A private walkway leads to the villa from one of the town’s picturesque narrow streets. This is a truly luxurious villa with modern design in a traditional setting – only moments away from pavement cafés, restaurants and squares.
In front of the villa a beautiful curved pool is surrounded by stone-paved sun terraces and is shaded by palm trees. An olive tree offers more shade and there are delicious pears to eat in the late spring and summer.
In a peaceful and private spot around the other side of the villa there is also a covered terrace with a stone barbecue, a table-tennis table and lots of outdoor furniture and new for 2006 a heated outdoor hot-tub Jacuzzi (applicable supplement £100 per week). This area is a lovely place to eat outside throughout the year.
Several steps up from the pool area lead to the beautiful lounge and dining room, with white walls and stone pillars and arches. There are comfortable corner sofas here and the latest entertainment systems. Huge windows from the lounge look down over the pool to the town of Pollença and the hills beyond. Above the lounge and dining room is a wooden mezzanine – perfect as a reading area, or as extra sleeping space for older children.
A well designed contemporary kitchen leads out of the lounge, with a range of new appliances including a dishwasher and a microwave. Another door from the kitchen leads directly out to the pool area. There is a utility room here too with a bathroom and walk-in shower, for showering after a swim.
Two large and airy bedrooms are also here on the ground level. A twin room and a king-size double room both have floor-to-ceiling wardrobes with lots of storage space. The bathroom on this level is truly luxurious with a jacuzzi-style bath for the ultimate in holiday self-indulgence!
